Terms of Use

These terms govern use of Shelby County Court Docket. By browsing the resource, following a link, or using an available search tool, a visitor accepts these conditions. Visitors who do not agree should not continue to use the site.

NO FCRA USE. This is a privately operated resource with no affiliation to a government agency or court. Neither this site nor its advertising partners is offered for credit, employment, insurance, tenant screening, or another Fair Credit Reporting Act purpose. Shelby County Court Docket is not a consumer reporting agency or private investigation firm.

1. What This Website Is

Shelby County Court Docket is a private reference resource. It does not operate an Ohio court, maintain official dockets, accept filings, or change court settings. It identifies documented official routes for the Shelby County Clerk of Courts, Shelby County Court of Common Pleas, Sidney Municipal Court, Probate, and Juvenile offices.

The resource can describe the difference between a local search route and a clerk record request. It cannot supply the official record or substitute for the responsible custodian.

2. Informational Use Only

Site content is general information. It is not an official docket, a court order, a certified record, or legal advice. A visitor should verify a material court date, filing, status, fee, or copy requirement with the court or clerk that holds the case.

3. Rules for Using This Site

Visitors agree not to:

  • violate federal, Ohio, or local law while using the site;
  • use information to harass, threaten, stalk, or harm another person;
  • use site information for a purpose prohibited by the FCRA notice;
  • attempt unauthorized access to a system or service;
  • use bots, scrapers, or automated requests against the site; or
  • interfere with another person's use of the resource.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

The operator is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and does not prepare consumer reports, background checks, credit reports, or similar screening products. Information from the site or a linked service may not be used to make an employment, housing, credit, insurance, licensing, benefit, or other FCRA-regulated decision. Use for those prohibited purposes is not authorized.

5. No Legal Advice

Nothing on the site creates an attorney-client relationship or tells a visitor how Ohio law applies to an individual dispute, charge, filing deadline, or hearing. A licensed Ohio attorney can provide advice about a particular matter.

6. Accuracy Is Not Guaranteed

The site is provided as is. Court procedures, data availability, office contacts, schedules, and fees can change. The operator does not warrant that every statement is complete, current, error free, uninterrupted, or suitable for a visitor's purpose. A docket can change after it is viewed, so the court or clerk is the source for present status.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

External links and search tools are operated by their respective providers. The operator does not control their content, security, availability, price, terms, privacy practices, or results. Following a link or supplying data to an outside service is the visitor's choice and is governed by that service's own rules.

8. Intellectual Property

Unless a different right is stated, the site's original text, graphics, logo treatment, and code are owned by Shelby County Court Docket or its content partners. They may not be copied, republished, modified, distributed, or used to create a derivative work without written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the extent allowed by law, the operator is not liable for loss or damage arising from site use, reliance on site content, a linked service, or an inability to access a service. This includes decisions made from information that was incomplete, changed, or inaccurate.

10. Indemnification

A visitor agrees to indemnify and hold the operator harmless from claims, demands, proceedings, costs, and reasonable legal fees resulting from the visitor's misuse of the site or violation of these terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio. A dispute connected with use of the site must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in Ohio, subject to any applicable law that requires otherwise.

12. Changes to These Terms

The operator may revise these terms from time to time. Changes take effect when the revised terms are posted on this page.
